JAMES
A. FREUND, O.D.
Dr. Freund
received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida
in 1980 and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of
Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee 1987. He is currently licensed in
Kentucky, Indiana, Colorado, and Georgia.
As a
board-certified optometrist, Dr. Freund specializes in providing
comprehensive eye exams for glasses and contact lenses, emergency eye
care, and treatment of numerous eye diseases ranging from glaucoma to
dry eye syndrome. In addition, Dr. Freund provides detailed
consultation for prospective cataract and refractive (LASIK)
candidates.
Dr. Freund has treated patients from the age of
a newborn up to his most eldest senior at 104 years old. With over
13 years of clinical experience, he pursues excellence in delivering eye
care to enhance and preserve vision for the entire family.
An established
medical author, Dr. Freund has written articles published by the Library
of Congress. He has most recently been written up in Primary Care
Optometry regarding a new treatment for Thygesons Disease. Other
topics have included glaucoma, cataracts, age-related macular
degeneration, and eye laser surgery.
Dr. Freund is
an avid skier, golfer, and traveler. Numerous photographs that he has
taken can be seen throughout the office. In addition, he has two beautiful
children which he proudly display's through numerous pictures in the
office.
